Why Did Kahwi Leonard Choose Clippers Over Lakers

Kahwi Leonard was basking in Venice Beach when the 1st earthquake hit on July 4th. On the evening of July 5th, the 2nd earthquake shook him into confessing his decision to join the Los Angeles Clippers . Drake and all of the Toronto Raptor fans grieved in disbelief. Riding high off of an NBA Championship win, and MVP pick, Kahwi decided to return to his roots. Fans blamed teammates, and the boring city. Some suggested Drake’s affection was just too overbearing. Why did Kahwi really choose Los Angeles Clippers over the favorite, Los Angeles Lakers?

Drake even offered Kahwi an executive position within his OVO music label, but Leonard refused.

Paul George is coming along for the ride. Doc Rivers is a phenomenal coach. The women, weed, and weather is cool, but why didn’t Leonard join Bron and AD? The Clippers lease with Staples Center expires in 2024. They’re sick of sharing the arena, and being considered 2nd best. Famous Laker fans fill the arena on game nights- Jack Nicholson, Denzel Washington, and Leonardo Dicaprio. In the past, the most consistent STAN Clippers could rely on…was Clipper Darrell.

The LAFC Banc of California Stadium is still a newborn. The Rams NFL stadium isn’t done yet. The Staples Center host the Microsoft Theater and LA Live. The Hollywood & Rose Bowls are nice too, but Kawhi came for the NEW stadium. Secret sessions leaked highly confidential documents. 1000 pages was all the LA Times could afford.

The Clippers wanted to use 22 acres of vacant, city-owned land across West Century Boulevard from the NFL stadium development — parcels that had been leased to the Madison Square Garden Co., the New York-based sports and entertainment giant that owns the nearby Forum, for overflow parking.

Now, things have gotten so nasty that Inglewood California is fighting an IRS audit. It’s 10 minutes from LAX, 10 minutes from the beach, and moments from downtown. It’s already the entertainment capital of Hollyweird. Even still, Mayor Butts has negotiated a secret deal to allow the LA Clippers to move into their on place. Maxine Waters can’t stop the gentrification. The Los Angeles Clippers acquired Kahwi to further cement their new arena.

City lawmakers had just approved an exclusive negotiating agreement with a company controlled by the NBA’s Clippers for a proposed arena that would be privately financed by team owner Steve Ballmer.

Conspiracy theorist assume the Dr. Sebi documentary got Nipsey Hussle smoked. We’re wondering if his real estate investments sent him to an early grave. Afterall, he’s the only entertainer smart enough to interpret the the future value in Inglewood’s Crenshaw market. Afterall, we’re neighbors with Megan Markle’s momma!
